Vidyanta Skills Institute in collaboration with NSDC is providing FREE training to eligible candidates to meet the requirement of healthcare professionals in the country.

    Duration

    1 month Online/Classroom
    3 months – OJT (paid)

    COVID FRONTLINE WORKERS - Details

    Basic Care Support Course & Home Care Support Course

    course details

    Training delivery – Classroom
    Duration – 22 days
    During COVID any government restrictions when physical classes cannot be conducted then online classes will be held
    8 hhours per day
    Instructor-led session
    Learn basic patient care skills
    100% attendance is mandatory

    OJT
    Duration – 75 Days (3 months)
    8 hours per day
    Candidate will get stipend during OJT
    For home care support course – OJT will be done in a home care setting
    For basic care support course – OJT will be done either at a home care or a hospital setting
    100% attendance is mandatory

    Assessment
    On successful completion of classroom training and OJT – assessment will be done by the Healthcare Sector Skill Council
    Assessment – Theory (objective questions)
    Assessment Practical (at skill lab)

    Certification
    Pass candidates will get certification
    Certification is recognized by the Government of India, NSDC & HSSC

    Job Placement
    Vidyanta will assist a candidate in getting a job
    Job locations varies and depend upon the vacancies to be filled by employers in different locations
    The job may not be at the same location where a candidate reside
    Most of the jobs are in the Delhi-NCR/Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, where there are more opportunities for a candidate with large hospitals and employers providing healthcare services

    Job Role & Responsibilities

    Home Care Support
    Help patients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other daily tasks.
    Perform basic health care services for patients including checking vital signs or providing prescription medication.
    Help with general light housekeeping.
    Work with a nurse, personal care aide, a CNA, nurse aide, nursing assistant, and other caregivers and in-home care professionals.
    Observe and report on patient condition.
    Administering prescription and over-the-counter medications.
    Taking the patient’s vital signs and recording them.
    Collecting samples for testing (sputum/urine and stool only).
    Educating the patient on proper nutrition.
    Helping the patient prepare meals.
    Assisting the patient by going with them to doctor’s visits, shopping, and other errands.
    Spending time with the patient for various activities, such as going to the park, reading, talking, or playing games.
    Assisting the patient with exercises.
    Replacing sterile dressings and monitoring wound healing.
    Assisting the patient in an out of bed and/or transferring to or from a wheelchair.
    Keeping accurate records of home visits, including travel time, time with the patient, and what services were performed during the visit.

    Basic Care Support @ Hospital
    Takes vital signs and records this information on a medical chart.
    Assists with the collection of lab specimens.
    Transports patients to and from operating rooms, laboratories, and examining rooms.
    Helps with bathing and grooming tasks
    Assists patients who need help walking or standing.
    Communicates a patient’s needs to nurses and doctors as appropriate.
    Feeds patients, ensuring that any special dietary needs are strictly adhered to.
    Aids people in the use of any medical devices and equipment required for their specific condition.
    Assists individuals with taking medication when needed.
    Lifts patients in order to move them and prevent bedsores.
    Updates relief workers on any unusual situations that may need to be addressed during their shift
